The Lion King (2019)
There were fears that this modern version could deviate from the original story. Well, fans of the original Lion King story need not fear as this was not the case. The remake stayed true to the origin story, songs, and even its soul alongside the CGI boost.
The voice casting for this remake is also top-notch and had the likes of Danny Glover as Simba, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Beyonce as Nala, John Olivier as Zazu the genius, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and fascinatingly James Earl Jones who plays his role to perfection as Mufasa.
This is a spectacular musical where Taron Egerton produced a performance that earned him a Golden Globe award in his role as Elton John. The movie is one that tells the story of the highs and lows of fame.
It tells the story of Elton John's rise from a boy who loved music whilst growing up in the 1950s in Britain to a global pop legend. The movie offers some flamboyance with the flashy rock costumes, electrifying scenes, and the endearing soundtrack

Toy Story 4
This movie won an Oscar for the best-animated feature and it was not a fluke. Toy Story 4 provides more proof that a franchise can continue in its brilliance if it's handled carefully. This one sees Andy as a college student whilst Woody and co are owed by a new person, a kindergarten kid known as Bonnie.
New characters are introduced in this one thus heightening the magic of the old gang. One of the new characters is Forky, a homemade toy suffering an existential crisis, funny. There's also Gabby Gabby played by Christina Hendricks, a pull-string doll who wants to steal Woody's voicebox.

Tom Holland plays his role brilliantly as the young Peter Parker under recruitment by Mysterio played by Jake Gyllenhaal and Nick Fury played by Samuel L Jackson, who makes his 11th appearance as Fury. Zendaya's appearance in the movie can't be overlooked as she is his love interest in this one with no touch of a damsel being in distress.
