on the title to order - huge discounts Katt Williams American Hustle: The Movie Katt Williams is a comic I haven't seen before, I'm guessing from this presentation that he represents the gangsta life by way of the comedy clubs. That's the premise of this movie anyway (a sequel of sorts to Katt Williams: Live and The Pimp Chronicles Pt. 1) that has Katt refusing to "go Hollywood" and instead hits the road with his raucous friends looking for laughs and misadventures. It starts out a bit wobbly as Katt tries too hard to be Larry David but there's a nice, short turn by Jeremy Piven as his Entourage character spewing a barrage of non sequiturs like, "It's like a python flying out of Ed McMahon's ass. Nobody wins." Some short, lame movie parodies follow - in all fairness, they're meant to be lame - but they aren't particularly funny, just silly, high school level humor. After this inauspicious start the heat is on and the show bursts forward with a barrage of filthy jokes, gross characterizations and other hilarious misogynous mayhem. Touring the country in his Katt-A-Lac with fellow comedians Luenell, Red Grant and Melanie Comarcho the movie moves from one town to another and one stand up routine to another - that's when the proceedings really begin to take off. This is some of the funniest comedy club material I've heard in a while - although be warned you've never heard the word "nigger" used so many times in one show. Ludacris and Snoop Dogg are also seen briefly. Movies on DVD Reviews: |
