Let's bounce around You Tube and see what Christmas TV treasures we can find. Like this clip from The Doris Day Show. In this episode, Doris' office throws a Christmas party and Doris' pal played by Rose Marie has a few too many. Remember drinking at office parties? You do? You're old. On that program, Doris sang a lovely version of 'Silver Bells,' one of my favorite Christmas carols.
Around the same time, My World & Welcome To It featured a holiday theme. This was a highly acclaimed 1969-70 series that suffered from low ratings - but see for yourself what a gem it was in a sea of ridiculous network sitcoms. That's Cheryl Tiegs in the Dentyne ad pre-Charlie's Angels.
Another fondly remembered series Here Come The Brides starring teen idol recording artist Bobby Sherman and David Soul aired a Christmas episode on December 18, 1968. Here's a duet between the stars...
