One of the incredible smash-ups that day. Rich Petty had problems in this race. In this shot, the hood goes up early in the race on a pitstop - always a bad sign! This race had one of the most exciting finishes of all time! It suprised the guys in the booth - how DID that Ford beat that Chevy?!?
