THE RED SKELTON HOUR

Season 1 and 2 (1951-53) on NBC- 30 mins.

Season 3-18 (1953-70) on CBS
(1962-70) The Red Skelton Hour

A tradition on The Red Skelton Hour was a recitation and explanation of the Pledge of Allegiance. It's beautifully sentimental and everyone should hear it, from a 1969 episode.

In 1969 John Wayne guest starred on Red's CBS hour.

Here's another sketch with Red and The Duke, a spoof of True Grit.

The Red Skelton Show moved to NBC for one season on Monday nights preceding Laugh-In. The show was downgraded to a half hour and suffered in quality.

Here Red plays his Mean Widdle Kid character with guest Audrey Meadows in 1970 on NBC.
