Billy - What are the updates on DVD releases for: 1. THE ODD COUPLE 2. THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW 3. THE CAROL BURNETT SHOW 4. MARY HARTMAN, MARY HARTMAN 5. MAUDE The latter is available through EBay purchases if you are not in the mood to join Columbia House. I wish it were available through general means. And it is shameful how the MTM Show is being treated as a DVD product. I want Sue Ann Nivens on DVD!!!! And number 1, 4, and 5??? - Frank Good questions! Odd Couple I've heard MAY be coming late this year. That would be a top seller - I even get requests for The Oddball Couple on DVD, the animated 1970's Saturday morning rip-off! MTM Season 2 is coming this summer - pre-order now! Burnett is tied up with Columbia House - I can't believe they are still in business! They are starting to lose exclusives (like Kojak) but Burnett is their biggest seller, I'm sure. - Billy I I would like to know if there is going to be a The Lucy Show DVD Season 1 from 1962-1963 in black and white? - Thanks, Randall J. Weber Not likely - the show fell into public domain so there are a lot of inferior collections to compete with. But we'll have it first if it happens! Dan updates us
what's happening with Here's what I know now - 1. Ember Entertainment and Lindsay Dunlap, in an agreement with THE Norman Felton of Arena Productions, holds the UNCLE universe film rights and appears to be over seeing Warner Bros. studio's handling of pre-production and production of the 'The Man From UNCLE' film. 2. A month or two back, it was revealed that Producer/Director Matthew Vaughn had agreed to direct the film with writer John Hodge. 3. Soon thereafter it was learned that Vaughn had in mind to do a very radical take on the UNCLE universe in the film. Fans supposedly rallied to protest. Vaughn stepped out of the Warner Bros. film project but says that he and Hodge are working on a separate spy film that will take spy films in a new direction. Is Warner Bros. still going with the Hodge storyline? I don't know, but I doubt it. 4. While my interest is mainly in the release of the 105 TV episodes to DVD, I wish Ember Entertainment Group, FELTON/Arena Productions and Warner Bros. well. May they all grasp the importance of getting the DVDs of the TV episodes to market, soon. 5. I'd appreciate more information and/or clarification. - Dan in Houston Thanks, Dan!
