Dolly Parton’s Home For Christmas special for ABC from 1990. ABC paid Parton a reported $44 million for a two-year contract to star in a weekly variety show in 1987 that lasted less than a season. Home for Christmas was the 31st solo studio album by Dolly Parton.

The Golden Girls was one of the hottest shows of the 1980s on NBC - but do you remember the spinoff, The Golden Palace that aired on CBS from September 18, 1992, to May 14, 1993? Seems everyone in the cast wanted the show to continue after Bea Arthur left so they dropped the remaining three girls into a hotel they had to run. Felt very forced but lasted two seasons.
