Here are some TV moments to cherish from Christmas in 2002. Perhaps they will awaken memories of past holiday cheer, a great time to be with family and friends who are no longer with us. CBS commercials from December 13, 2002 Commercials airing during the broadcast of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer which was a guaranteed ratings winner in the early 200s, so much so CBS aired it twice before Christmas at least one season. By the end of the decade pretty much everyone owned it on DVD so it was eventually dropped by CBS, relegated to smaller cable networks.
Cartoon Network commercials from December 2002 These holiday ads aired during Cartoon Network’s Christmas marathon that featured: The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, A Flintstone Christmas Carol, 12 Tiny Christmas Tales, Olive the Other Reindeer, The Town That Santa Forgot, and A Johnny Bravo Christmas.
The Price is Right: December 24, 2002 (Christmas Eve Episode!) The Price is Right celebrated its 30th year on CBS daytime in the fall of 2002, Bob Barker was still the host. Rod Roddy is the announcer, Shane Sterling & Jesse Golden were new models. Plinko was played, it’s a pretty good episode.
TV Trailer for "The Man Who Saved Christmas" December 13th, 2002 Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander is in heartwarming mode in this made for television special.
Hess 2002 Christmas Truck and Airplane Toy TV Commercial I’ll be honest, I don’t watch very much television but the Hess Truck was a big deal to a great many people for decades by 2002. Is it still a thing? These commercials were as anticipated as the truck itself. Even 20 years ago, life was much simpler. What I wouldn’t give to re-live Christmas in 2002!
Barney's Christmas Star 2002 The biggest children’s entertainer in 2002 was Barney the Dinosaur so naturally he had his own Christmas special that also debuted on VHS and DSVD that year. From the description: Tis the season to be jolly -- and to celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzzaa! After reenacting the classic poem, "The Night Before Christmas" the children celebrate with friends and family as Barney places the Christmas star atop the tree!
