3 Best Sports Movies of All Time

In today's world, almost everybody is busy with their work. Job holders spend long, tiring hours at the office while students have to contend with their assignments & exams. There is less time for rest and leisure activities. That's why we prize our free time and want to get maximum value from it.

Movies provide a great source of entertainment and fun, especially sports movies which combine many different genres. They could make you laugh in the beginning, but by the end, you could find yourself in tears. If you are a sports fan who is always looking for caesars bonus code, then you will also greatly enjoy the movies described below.

1- Hoosiers
If you love an underdog story, then you can't find a better sports movie than 'Hoosiers', a stirring tale that centers around a small-town Indiana high school basketball team. The main character Norman Dale gets a chance at personal redemption when he becomes the coach of Hickory High School and performs the outstanding feat of leading them to state championship victory. Dale's unconventional methods and temper make him an unpopular figure in the tiny Indiana town with the community even coming close to dismissing him, but he wins everybody's respect in the end despite insurmountable odds.

Hoosiers is a tale of heroic sportsmanship that teaches us all about the virtues of teamwork and discipline for sporting success. Besides the amazing plotline, the movie owed its success to the strong performances of Gene Hackman (who played Norman Dale) and Dennis Hopper (who played Shooter Flatch).

2- Rocky
Rocky is a classic underdog boxing story, starring Sylvester Stallone as its main character who is also the writer of the film. Rocky is portrayed as an uneducated, working-class Italian American boxer who makes do as a debt collector in the slums of Philadelphia. The story becomes really interesting when he gets a shot at the world heavyweight championship, thus getting a golden opportunity to break his mould of poverty. Rocky's crush Adrian (played by Talia Shire) and his friend Pauly (played by Burt Young) are also very fascinating characters who helped to make this movie such a prodigious success.

It became the highest-grossing film of 1976 with the box office figures reaching $225 million despite taking up a budget of just over $1 million. This film gave a huge boost to Stallone's career and established his reputation as a major movie star. The film received critical acclaim and won three Academy Awards.

3- Hoop Dreams
Hoop Dreams is a 3-hour long documentary film that addresses race and class issues through the story of two African-American high school students who dream of playing in the NBA. Director Steve James has painted a very realistic picture of the challenges and problems young people face in their quest for stardom. Despite stripping the film of all its glamour and embellishments, Hoop Dreams is a gripping and engrossing tale of perseverance, character, and teamwork.

It received high critical acclaim and was the only documentary film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Film Editing. It grossed over $11 million worldwide.
