My name is Kathy and I was on Romper Room in the '60s in Orlando. I assume that it was 1967 or 1968. I was born in 1962.
I have a memory to share while the show was filming, I was sitting at the table and there was milk and cookies on the table. I got up from the table and walked to Ms. "Nancy" and I told her that I did not like milk. She said, "shhh, then don't drink it." I then handed her the paper cup and I said, "but, I don't like milk." She said, "Don't drink it then, just pretend like you are drinking it." I insisted again that I didn't like milk and handed it to her. She took it.
I don't remember what happened after that. I just have never forgotten this experience. I do also remember punching the rubber band balls and getting a little diploma which was held in a cylinder by a little "clown" ring. I received it at the end of the show that I was on. I either received it after 1 week or 1 day. I don't remember.
