Can you believe 1990 is 30 years ago?!? I look back on the 1990s as a great time to be alive, and a decade of amazing television. Enjoy this mashup of some of the most memorable commercials of all time.
Remember the creepy Burger King masked character? And the ultra-weird Axe Dark Chocolate ad. And the catchy jingles for Band-Aid (I am stuck on Band-aid and Band-aid's stuck on me).
Do you also recall: 'Wha's Up' ads for Budweiser (Yo, where's Dookie?), Bumpits, the melting snowman for Campell's, 'Can you hear me now?', Cavemen Geico spots, Chester Cheeto, flip phones, talking baby for E-Trade, Coca-Cola polar bears, California Raison-like cookies for Chunky Chips Ahoy, Beggin Strips, Mac vs PC, that roly-poly ITT Tech student ("The thing I liked about ITT Tech... I liked everything about ITT Tech"), CD Collections, Zoo Books, Sham Wow, the Snuggie (You wanna keep warm when you're feeling chill, but you don't wanna raise your heating bill), Slap Chop, the list of classics goes on and on and they're all represented in this video.
By the way - ITT Tech was one of the largest for-profit educators in the U.S. before it closed in 2016 when it was sued out of existence for for allegedly "misleading and harassing students."
Still, overall I think you may agree that commercials 30 years ago were far superior to today's idiotic ads like The General and... well, I'll bet you could name a dozen off the top of your head!
