Dad - Volume 2
I've got to admit this is brilliant. If you're between the ages of 9 and 13 you're sure to love American Dad. It might be a little tedious if you have to sit and watch it with the little ones, but that's par for the course. Me, I don't have kids. If you haven't seen it, American Dad is a cross between Wait 'Til Your Father Gets Home and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. How brilliant is that? Fans will love the chatty episode commentaries that accompany each and every show along with extras like deleted scenes, a "Season One Remembered" featurette and other goodies. If only I was 9 years old again so that I could enjoy the simple pleasures that shows like American Dad have to offer. But then again, I'm the only one of my friends that doesn't like Family Guy. So what does that tell you? AMERICAN DAD VOLUME TWO SYNOPSIS Terrorists (and all of you bed-wetting-hippie-liberal-types) beware! Ultra-right-wing C.I.A. agent Stan Smith is back, taking names, and, well, you know the rest. Join Stan, along with his hilariously off-beat family, as he spans the globe to make the world safe for democracy! If you’re ready to support your country, and if you’re ready for a wildly outrageous animated farce from Mike Barker, Matt Weitzman and Seth MacFarlane, the creative mastermind behind Family Guy, you’re ready for American Dad Volume 2. God bless America! From creator’s Mike Barker, Matt Weitzman and Seth MacFarlane (creator of "Family Guy") comes a man who will stop at nothing to fight for what he thinks is right for the United States when Fox Home Entertainment presents "American Dad" Volume Two; showing its true patriotic colors on DVD May 15. This hilarious animated hit comedy follows the antics of over zealous and over cautious CIA agent Stan Smith and his twisted family – lovely wife Francine, ultra-liberal daughter Hayley, geeky pre-teen son Steve, alcoholic extra-terrestrial Roger and German-speaking pet goldfish Klaus. Stan will stop at nothing to protect his family and beloved country from harm - traveling to Saudi Arabia to fight terrorists, plotting against the anti-gun nuts or even going head to head with Hollywood’s ultimate Democrat… Jane Fonda! Featuring guest appearances from the likes of Jason Lee ("My Name Is Earl," Clerks II), Jon Stewart ("The Daily Show"), Elijah Wood (Lord of the Rings Trilogy), Patrick Stewart ("Star Trek: The Next Generation," X-Men: The Last Stand) and Sandra Oh ("Grey’s Anatomy"), "American Dad" Volume Two features commentary on all 19 episodes along with deleted scenes and three bonus featurettes.
