One of the greatest dramatic series in TV history centered around the inside wheeling and dealing in the West Wing of the White House. From the product description: "The seventh season of the West Wing chronicles the transition between the administration of President Josiah 'Jed' Bartlet and the race for the new presidency between Congressman Mathew Vincente Santos of Houston, Texas and Senator Arnold Vinick of California. The season includes the live episode of 'The Debate' and ends with a new administration in the West Wing." Many viewers
feel this seventh year was the season that The West Wing rebounded
from a bad couple of earlier seasons, that these were the best episodes
of all. That's for you to decide.
Besides the 22 episodes you'd expect on six discs, take a look at the wide array of extras: a commentary by John Wells and Alex Graves on '7A WF 83429'; commentary by John Wells and Christopher Misiano on 'The Dogs of War'; commentary by Alex Graves, Jessica Yu, and Debora Cahn on 'The Supremes'; a profile of President Bartlett and Martin Sheen; an in-depth look at the episode 'Gaza' and unaired scenes from three episodes. TVparty is Classic TV! ![]() Reviews by Billy Ingram, as seen on VH1, Trio and Bravo. Watch for Billy Ingram on BRAVO this month! West Wing - The Complete Seventh Season Tagline: Right place. Right time. right man. Plot Outline Inside the lives of staffers in the west wing of the White House. Plot Synopsis:
When the pedantic erudite Democrat Josiah "Jed" Bartlet is
elected US president, he installs his administration, including a number
of people in the White House, mainly confidants in his electoral campaigns,
whose role in the Washington power game -including the chief of staff
and his deputy, spokeswoman, speech-writer and lower secretaries- and
what passes for personal lives -also involving other regular characters
such as the presidents wife and personal servant- make this series,
which supposedly follows the political events -often paraphrasing historical
reality- almost day by day, more then a political soap as the demands
of office on each of them in terms of personal sacrifice and compromising
on ideals and principles for tactical necessity allow some insights
in many aspects of US society and international politics.
