This transcendent program is loaded with heart and soul, a tad predictable but for a network drama (NBC) it truly is a revelation. A soaring drama that never sours, sentimental without being schmaltzy.

I'm a fan in general of sports movies, the film this series was based on is one of my favorites. I didn't think the producers could pull it off but pull it off they did, and how.

This emotion-packed production is a magnificent adaptation that surpasses the original.

I teared up more than once watching Friday Night Lights and almost bawled my way through the entire 7th episode, that's how real the characters feel.

Beautifully written and directed, it's shows like this that could save network TV but Friday Night Lights just doesn't command the ratings it should - still, it's is unbelievably awe inspiring and there's no better way to watch Friday Night Lights than on DVD so you can savor the rich experience.
