Filmed in 1990 (which meant lots of red, blue and purple neon, excessive smoke and left-over '80's fashions), it's Miami Vice meets the (Tim Burton) Batman movies and the result is an oversaturated mess. I'm not sure if the producers ever decided whether they were doing a serious or a camp show - if they hadn't straddled the line so poorly the series might have had a chance. As it is, this DVD collection stands as the series' last will and testament, another most-likely collector's item in the future. |

The Flash on DVD Plot Outline A police forensic scientist battles crimes as a superfast superhero. Plot Synopsis: In a freak accident, police scientist Barry Allen is struck by lightning and doused in chemicals. Barry discovers that this accident has made him the fastest man alive, able to move at nearly the speed of sound. With the help of STAR Labs scientist Tina McGee, he learns to control his powers...but when his older brother Jay (a motorcycle cop) is killed in the line of duty, Barry asks Tina o make him a special costume that can withstand the rigors of hyperspeed travel.
