MyNetworkTV unveils a new game called Temptation based on the 1970's classic Sale of the Century and it's a real winner. Like that earlier series, 3 contestants answer questions about pop culture and are intermittently offered the chance to spend some of their winnings on 'fabulous prizes.' The twist of this new show is that viewers at home are given an opportunity to buy some of the products they see on the show at a discounted price, kind of like a marriage between the Game Show Network and Home Shopping Network. I found Temptation to be appropriately fast-paced, exciting and loads of fun, I was smiling throughout the entire show. Host Rossi Morreale is very effective; I could easily see him hosting The Price Is Right after Drew Carey grows bored with the routine - and I suspect he will after a few years. If you're a fan of game shows look for Temptation beginning September 5th at 8:00pm on MyNetworkTV. After that debut, the show will be seen in daily syndication starting September 10th.  |
